Evolve IP appoints Scott Rixon as Chief Technology Officer
Promotion recognises more than a decade of technical leadership, product innovation and partner focused technology strategy
Evolve IP has announced the promotion of Scott Rixon to Chief Technology Officer with immediate effect, recognising his long-standing contribution to the business and his role in shaping its technology, product and partner strategy.
Scott has been part of the Evolve IP journey for more than a decade and has played a central role in the development of the company’s cloud communications, collaboration and customer experience portfolio. His appointment formally recognises the CTO level influence he already brings across Evolve IP’s technology roadmap, vendor relationships, partner community and wider EMEA growth strategy.
The promotion also reflects Scott’s unique relationship with the business. His connection with Evolve IP began before he joined the company, when he was one of the earliest customers of The Voice Factory, the business founded by Paul Harrison before it became part of Evolve IP. Having recognised the transformational potential of cloud communications early on, Scott went from customer to advocate, and then to a senior technology leader within the organisation.
Paul Harrison, Managing Director, Evolve IP, said: “Scott has been an integral part of our journey for more than a decade and has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, technical expertise and a relentless commitment to innovation. Few individuals possess both the depth of technical knowledge and the strategic vision required to navigate an ever-changing technology landscape, and Scott continues to demonstrate both every day.
He has long operated at CTO level, and this well-deserved appointment formally recognises the influence and leadership he brings to our business, our technology strategy, our vendor relationships and our partner community.”
As CTO, Scott will lead Evolve IP EMEA’s technology strategy, supporting continued innovation across its cloud communications, collaboration, contact centre and customer experience solutions. He will also play a key role in strengthening the company’s vendor partnerships and ensuring its partner community has access to relevant, reliable and commercially valuable technology propositions.
Scott’s appointment comes as Evolve IP continues to invest in its partner first model, helping resellers and service providers deliver integrated communications, collaboration and customer experience solutions to businesses across the UK, Netherlands and wider EMEA market.
Scott Rixon, Chief Technology Officer, Evolve IP, said: “I’m incredibly proud to step into the role of CTO at Evolve IP. My relationship with the business has always been built on a belief in the potential of cloud communications to transform how businesses work, connect and serve their customers.
Having started as a customer, I understand first-hand what partners and end users need from their technology providers. They need solutions that are dependable, relevant and built around real business outcomes. My focus will be on continuing to strengthen our technology strategy, deepen our vendor relationships and make sure our partners have the innovation, support and expertise they need to grow.
This is an exciting time for Evolve IP, and I’m looking forward to helping shape the next stage of our journey.”
Paul Harrison added: “At Evolve IP, we strive to be the provider our partners choose when reliability, expertise and innovation matter most. I have no doubt that in his new role as CTO, he will continue to shape the future of our business and strengthen our position in the market.”
